A tribute to the late legendary Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, this exhibit in the Glendale Forest Lawn Museum features 50 Sunday and daily football themed comic strips. Also on display are some special Peanuts memorabilia. You can view the iconic strip of Lucy pulling the ball from Charlie Brown. This is sure to be a gridiron of fun for anyone who loves the Peanuts and Football. There will also be a locker room where you can dress up and take pictures. There is a photo opportunity to take your picture for a football trading card. Bubble gum is not included with card. Hehehe that's a joke. And lastly you can try to steal the ball from "old Chuck".

When I think of the Peanuts I often think of my childhood. Reading the Sunday comics with my Dad and watching all the cartoons as they aired for the holidays. It was always such a memorable occasion. I am glad our kids have the same level of excitement each year as we watch. My husband is a big Snoopy/Charlie Brown/Peanuts fan. He can not wait to go see this wonderful exhibit. I can't wait either. Woodstock, Peppermint Patty, Lucy, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Pig Pen, Schroeder, Linus and Sally...... Who's your favorite? Mine is Lucy.

The event is free to enter and parking is free too. The gardens in Forest Lawn are beautiful and abundant in tranquility. While you are there and if you are a big fan of classic Hollywood movies...... you can visit the resting places of some of my very favorite actors and actresses from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Jimmy Stewart, Jean Harlow, Clark Gable, and Elizabeth Taylor and author L. Frank Baum. Walt Disney and Michael Jackson are both at rest too. But those are off limits to the public. So you can just stroll the grounds and think of them a hum a tune.

Most people would not think Forest Lawn has museums but they do. It's a great place to learn about the present and the past and introduce a new generation to some amazing people. I will be following up with a review and some pictures next week.

Hope you can catch it!
