Every year on the first Tuesday of August something awesome occurs! National Night Out!! It's a great time to come together with your community and meet your local Law Enforcement Agencies and your neighbor. You might be asking, What is National Night Out? It is an annual community-building campaign that helps promote police and community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our communities safer, richer in bonds and fellowship. This event brings back the old school feeling of COMMUNITY!! We need community to thrive and grow. It also gives an amazing opportunity for community members to meet their local Law Enforcement and bring them together.
Each year millions of neighbors gather together for a block party or an organized Night Out event by their local Law Enforcement Agency and City. This takes place in all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases. There are so many things to do!! Some neighborhoods host their own potlucks, or BBQ's and have a Block Party. Some cities have festivals, parades, and others host a large city Block Party in one central location. There are food, games, music, safety demonstrations, meet and greets with local Officers, giveaways and raffles. It's a great time to come together and meet your neighbors in your community.
