How to make your OWN DIY Touchdown Taco Bowl Bar!!

I started making Taco Bowl Bars over 10 years ago for my family. And since our son is a football player, they have evolved to being called Touchdown Taco Bowls!! They are super EZ to make and you can literally make them to any theme of your choosing. Here is my DIY method to create your own. Now let's get started.

Things you will need.

Ground Beef, Turkey or a Meat substitute with a ground beef texture like Grillers Crumbles.

Shredded Cheese

Sour Cream

Shredded Lettuce

Salsa or Chopped Tomatoes

Guacamole or Sliced Avocados

Black Olives

Tortilla Chips

Canned Corn

Taco Seasoning of your choice

( Optional items, beans, onions and or jalapeños/hot sauce )

*** If you are having a theme for a football game night, the big game on Sunday or for your football player at home you could use anything Football related on your table. Get creative with what you have, have your kids make some footballs and hang them up, hit up a party store or a dollar store for extra items.

We like to use bowls and disposable forks and bowls, so it's EZ clean up after the game or dinner.

Step One - Brown or cook your meat and add your Taco Seasoning of your choice. Drain any excess liquid. Place cooked meat in a serving bowl.

Step Two - Chop up any vegetables you will use as toppings. Tomatoes, onions or avocados. Grate your cheese if it is not yet shredded and your lettuce. We like to to use a cheddar cheese blend on ours and romaine lettuce.

Step Three - Arrange all your toppings in individual bowls for the Taco Bowl Bar. Make sure you have serving utensils ready for each bowl. Place chips in a large serving bowl, and lettuce in another. Add tongs for both bowls to serve with.

Step Four - Arrange all our serving bowls on your decorated table for serving. Make sure you have your bowls and utensils ready for your family or guests.

Step Five - Each person can layer their bowls with their toppings. I like to crumble chips first, add the meat, then lettuce and then all the toppings. Experiment and have FUN!! Enjoy your Touchdown Taco Bowls!!
