We had the opportunity to try Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggie Made Pasta. We are always looking for new ways to incorporate veggies into weeknight dinners. Our weekdays are always a full schedule. School, work, sports, dance and meetings. I often struggle to find healthy and quick options for my family. And I am always looking for ways to get our very picky 6 year old to eat her veggies. Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggie Made Mac & Cheese Elbows : The look of classic Mac & Cheese without the guilt or calories.100% vegetable pasta with 1 serving of vegetables per serving. It also has NO artificial flavors, No preservatives or dyes. And it tastes like the real thing because it is made with real cheese! I highly suggest this one for any parent that has a Mac & Cheese lover in their family.
Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggie Made Fettuccine Alfredo : Again this too has the look and flavor of Fettuccine Alfredo. It has a lighter taste than traditional Alfredo. Less buttery sauce. Which is good for us. It is filling. It is made with zucchini and lentils. This paired well with chicken and a salad. If you are looking to cut some carbs, this is a great option.
Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggie Made Penne with Cheddar Cheese Sauce : I called this one the grown up Mac & Cheese. My parents loved this one. Both of them are seniors and they need to be mindful of sugars and carbs and sodium in their diet. This was a great option for them. They absolutely loved it and can't wait to try other flavors.
Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggie Made Spaghetti Style Marinara : This was the pasta my daughter could not get enough of!! She asked for more. And polished off the entire bag. Looks exactly like spaghetti. And like the other Veggie Made pastas, it has zucchini and lentils. This was also a hit for our entire family. Pair this with eggplant, chicken and a nice salad. You have an excellent and EZ weeknight italian dinner.
Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggie Made Rotini Marinara : Like all the others we sampled, this was polished off in minutes off their plate. Packed full of vegetables in every bite. This is perfect for an after game snack, or for a meal. Our athlete loved this.
Another thing we loved about this experience, our kids could make this on their own. Simply place in the microwave for 4 minutes, cut open and place in a bowl. "Easy peasey lemon squeezy" is what our daughter calls making it. She just needs help removing it because it is hot. Big brother helped with that. It was also an answer for our son, when he comes home late from a football game or practice and he's famished. It's a great healthy option for him. And truly makes back to school dinning easier!
