It's no doubt that we are living in unprecedented times. But one thing is for sure, I have no doubt about our local Walgreens. We have been customers of the San Gabriel Walgreens for more years than I can remember. It's always my go to spot for literally everything. Last minute holiday gifts, decor or treats, impromptu school supplies that my son forgot to tell me he needs, photos, ice and drinks, beauty products, baby necessities, movie rentals, health needs and most importantly prescriptions!!!
We have shopped there so long, the manager, pharmacy and some employees have seen my kids literally grow up. When our son was little, he nicknamed one of the employees, now a manager, Buddy. That was almost 10 years ago when he first started. Our amazing Pharmacy staff has been there for our family literally through all the good and bad. They have rushed prescriptions for us, or went the extra mile to find a store that had it for us that day. We have seen some close calls health wise with my Mom, and our San Gabriel Walgreens has always helped get her prescriptions filled ASAP. Several times, the timing prevented my mom from another ER visit. I have severe asthma, and I literally rely on my preventative medication. I know it's always filled like clock work each month. And if I forget to pick up, I get a handy text reminder, and a personal call from their staff. They really have gone the extra mile to get to know our family. Our pharmacy staff has even bought Girl Scout cookies from my daughter at her local booths. They have a wonderful relationship with my Dad, and they really miss him if they don't see him weekly. During this crazy day we are living in, they always ask over the phone or in the drive thru how my Dad is. They ask, "How's Santa?". And one thing is for certain, Walgreens is in my Dad's top 5 places to go after the quarantine.
If you need anything for your family, try your local Walgreens. You can even pick up essentials in the drive thru if you can't go inside. That's what we do. Even though I miss just walking around, seeing local neighbors and friends and their staff. So while you are home learning to adapt to distance learning, you can pick up school supplies, snacks or little treats for your kids or yourself. If there is something you need, give them a call. I know they will do their best to help, or give you some support. And medication or prescriptions...... I can not say enough about their knowledgable staff. They always help us find the right item, or suggest a substitute. During this time of unknowns, you can come to trust your San Gabriel Walgreens with knowledge, professionalism, a caring heart and a smiling face.
Thank you San Gabriel Walgreens!!! We love you!!
